I wasn’t planning on talking about Del Amitri when I sat down to write this blog post, but when I typed the title, I started singing and had to pause to go and pop their album on. It’s probably not cool and definitely not relevant to the rest of this post, but I LOVE DEL AMITRI, always have and I make no apologies for it.

No my nose doesn’t need to be any bigger thank you very much, nor do I see the benefit of mud baths. Well……
I’m an early riser, especially when I don’t have to be. It’s Sunday, so it’s OK to have a lie in, but oh no, that never works does it? My eyes were forced open by 6 and no amount lying still with my eyes closed brought about some much needed extra zzz’s.

Don’t you just love finishing projects? I’ve made a promise to myself to try and get a few of those projects languishing in the sin bin completed over the Summer months if I can. So far that’s involved digging through the bag to see what’s in there and then putting them all back, but it’s a start anyway 😉
Yesterday was a busy day for making, no busier than usual, but it was filled with lots of little projects that come and go ‘just like that’.
You remember these lovelies that arrived in the post a little over a month ago now? They’re the first installment of the Famous Five Sock Club from Fine Fish Yarns.
Pretty aren’t they, but what do you do with 5 mini skeins of multicoloured yarn, other than knit/crochet blanket squares or make scrappy socks?
As you probably know the Sheep’s Head Yarn Festival took place in May and 8 of us piled into two cars and headed down to West Cork for the day.
As we’ve already told you all about the wonderful day we spent in the glorious, sunbathed location in the magazine, I won’t go over it all again.
Instead, how about I share my naughty purchases with you?

Confession time…..
I’m a much nicer person when I knit and my sore shoulder/arm/elbow (the pain keeps moving), has dampened my creative enthusiasm a little of late. I’m not usually prone to low ebbs, but this has taken a little of the wind out of my sails, so to speak.
I think, fingers crossed, sod it! – fingers, toes and anything else you can think of crossed, it’s on the mend.
Well it was bound to happen sooner or later I guess?
I’ve hurt my shoulder and I can tell you, it’s impacting on my life more than just a little right now. Ironically, I don’t think it’s from too much knitting, instead I’m pretty sure it’s from too much driving to woolly events. It’s sore to knit, worse to type and driving is up there in the OUCH! category at the moment, hence my conclusion.
It’s May the 4th and you’re going to be bombarded all day with May the 4th be with you references, so here’s my one.
