As you probably know the Sheep’s Head Yarn Festival took place in May and 8 of us piled into two cars and headed down to West Cork for the day.
As we’ve already told you all about the wonderful day we spent in the glorious, sunbathed location in the magazine, I won’t go over it all again.
Instead, how about I share my naughty purchases with you?
A little yarnporn, don’t tell the hubby will you?
The blues are 100% Merino and the reds are 80% Bluefaced Leicester/20% Silk. Beautiful aren’t they? They’re from Carlos and Gabriella at Irish Fairytale Yarns.
After seeing how lovely Petal to Petal’s work was when we featured it in our Handmade in Ireland section in issue 3, I knew one of my good friends would love a tea towel.
The beautiful shade from Strand Designs is called Light it Up Blue, it’s just soooooo pretty.
This beauty is a potholder from Rags to Rugs by Annie. Made from old fabric, with a giant crochet hook, there’s no way a hot pan is going to mark my worktops with this baby.
Last but not least, I bought these goodies from the Sheep’s Head Shop. There really was no leaving this lovely hank of 4ply sock yarn from Green Elephant Yarns behind.
Now all I have to do, is learn to knit, spin, crochet and weave as fast as I can spend my money 😳
Have a lovely making long weekend
