Portuguese Knitting Progress

I think I’m really beginning to get the hang of this Portuguese Knitting ♥♥♥ (famous last words).
Knitting the Woodlawn Vest

I’ve been a little slack when it comes to talking about the garments I’ve been knitting for Olann and. To be honest, the time just seems to run away on me and before I know it, the next issue is released and that window of opportunity feels lost. As Deirdre and I have decided to switch, from a bi-monthly publishing schedule to a quarterly one, hopefully they’ll be more time (for both of us) to do the things we planned to.
Irish Fields Captured in Yarn Form

Continually captivated by where I live, I’m forever taking photos of the farm and surrounding area just because they make me smile.
Knitting Libran – Part 2

When we look at a knitting or crochet garment, we tend only to see the whole thing. The overall look, is the reason why we chose the pattern in the first place after all. Sometimes though it’s how the different elements combine, to create something that can really give you that wow factor.
Knitting Libran – Part 1
Talking with Siún Carden several months ago about her proposed design, I was thrilled at the prospect of a project that could be knitted with handspun yarn. With our emails travelling backwards and forwards, we quickly agreed on the design and Siún, whose a spinner herself, decided to produce the yarn as well.
Unisex Knitting

I sat down to write a different post today, but suddenly realised I had yet to share this make with you and I really do love it.
Orange Solstice Shawl

Warning – you might need sunglasses!
Don’t you just love finishing projects? I’ve made a promise to myself to try and get a few of those projects languishing in the sin bin completed over the Summer months if I can. So far that’s involved digging through the bag to see what’s in there and then putting them all back, but it’s a start anyway 😉
Confession Time

Confession time…..
I’m a much nicer person when I knit and my sore shoulder/arm/elbow (the pain keeps moving), has dampened my creative enthusiasm a little of late. I’m not usually prone to low ebbs, but this has taken a little of the wind out of my sails, so to speak.
I think, fingers crossed, sod it! – fingers, toes and anything else you can think of crossed, it’s on the mend.
I Told You I’d Made Two

By now the whole world must have heard of the Nellie May Shawl from the latest issue of Olann and. It went completely bonkers across all the social media networks and the #nelliemaykal is creating more interaction and a great buzz among the knitting community.
